The Best Freaking Lemon Bars on Earth
Having tried countless recipes in the quest to find “the perfect” not too sour / not too sweet lemon bar, this recipe achieves that mission. It is rightly deserving of its name.

Ina Garten’s Perfect Roast Chicken
Leave it to Ina to come up with the absolute best roast chicken. Perfectly crisp on the outside and juicy inside, this will please even the pickiest eaters in your family.
(Helpful tip: ChefSteps provides an immensely helpful YouTube tutorial on how best to truss a chicken so that it cooks evenly, and it’s so easy!)

Tyler Florence’s Beef Fajitas
This recommendation comes from a Texan who knows her Mexican food, and this is the only fajita recipe she will make. She recommends marinating it for 24 hours and pairing it with Trader Joe’s “Handmade Flour Tortillas” - “the closest you’ll get to homemade without doing it yourself.”

Bobby Flay’s Grilled Sea Scallops on Tortilla Chips with Avocado Puree and Jalapeno Pesto
So many flavors and textures pair perfectly in each bite; truly a feast for the senses.
(Helpful tip: I’d recommend cutting the scallops in half horizontally before grilling; a thinner scallop helps to not overpower the other flavors.)

Tom Aikens’ Slow-Braised Shoulder of Lamb with Onions, Thyme, and Balsamic
Looking for bit of a challenge? A friend in London who is the absolute best home cook that I know recommends this as her all-time favorite recipe from a deliciousness perspective. Coming from her, that is not to be taken lightly.

Homeland just wrapped up its eighth - and final - season last week. While not all seasons are as exciting as others, it definitely ended on its on-the-edge-of-your-seat level of international intrigue. (Amazon Prime)
