What Exactly Is The Great Saunter?
We randomly stumbled across The Great Saunter this summer while looking for great walks in and around Manhattan. And the Great Saunter is just that. Held annually the first Saturday in May (barring this past year of COVID) since 1982, it is a 32-mile loop around Manhattan at a saunter pace (I mean, there is a lunch break!).
After learning more, we decided to gather a group of “saunterers” to stay active in the winter months, support some amazing causes, and see parts of Manhattan we may not otherwise see.
Group Walks
Training with a friend is fun, but as a big group it’s even better!
We are going to have regularly-planned group walks and all are welcome to join in! Check back here regularly for upcoming walk dates and locations; we will also announce them on Instagram and Facebook.
